Clean rooms, good breakfast, easy checkin

Amazing breakfast buffet! Great location within easy walking distance of the main scenic areas.

Very close and walking distance to the marina and central Bergen. I liked that it was a little walk out of town to avoid crowds (particularly as there was cruise liners visiting!). Obsessed with the breakfast buffet.

Room was a little dark but hey- it's Scandinavian winter! What would be great maybe in the future is having chromecast TV's where you can log into your own streaming accounts as I was restricted to just SkyTV! But that was just the cold rainy days when I wanted to stay in!

Location is great. Central to everything. Really quiet though so slept well. Beds were so comfy. Room was clean. Shower was hot. No complaints. I booked not realising there was no bath but that's my mistake and the shower was decent so it's fine. Breakfast was lovely. I had fresh bread with butter and ham, fresh warm croissants and jam. My husband had scrambled eggs, beans and meatballs. We had a few drinks in the evening which was nice. I saw people playing darts and table tennis. We didn't use the gym but it has all you could need and is open all the time. Felt really safe here actually and every day we discovered something new about Bergen as its location was ideal for the fjord trips, the flo banen, the aquarium and lots of bars and restaurants. We will be back and I would happily book the same hotel again!

Just no bath in the bathrooms that's all but just a preference. I messaged just after I booked and they confirmed this but it wouldn't put me off booking again. They never claimed to have baths, just something I should have checked before!

We did miss having a kettle in the room (even though we knew when we booked there was no kettle available in the room). Wifi was also pretty spotty

Location is excellent, food was good. Very comfortable it’s not a 6 star hotel for a king but excellent for ordinary people like us. We would stay there again

I loved the position of this hotel, the window view and the variety of the breakfast. The staff helped us getting information for our boat departure and called us a cab to get there on time.

I didn't appreciate the communication we had before arrival here on Booking, the way I was responded was very rude and also made me think of changing accomodation but the position was excellent for our needs. The room was definitely too small. I didn't like the self check-in and the overall disinterest of the staff.

It was a great shame that tea/coffee/biscuits facilities, were not provided in the room.

The breakfast was very good. The buffet area and dining area were a congested and not easy to navigate. I didn't pay attention to this before the breakfast, or I would have planned an earlier time to eat.

I was told that there was an opportunity for late departure, but this was not available on the weekends.

The room was hot and stuffy when we arrived till we opened a window. There was no air conditioning !

We had a lovely relaxing stay. It was a quiet location, and the hotel had a chilled out atmosphere. Rooms were simple but comfortable. The staff on the front desk were always happy to help with anything. A good choice of food at the buffet breakfast.

If I was being really fussy, I would have loved a kettle in the room. Being a typical British person I really missed my tea! Had to make sure I drank plenty at breakfast time. Also, it would have been nice to have had a shelf in the shower, but these really are minor things.

The room and bed were quite adequate for my purpose. I certainly enjoyed a very good breakfast . the location is a nice walking distance to most of the attractions.

I think the cleaning was rushed prior to my occupancy as a few points were missed. Two of the three nights I stayed were quite noisy.

Good breakfast. Door to small porch. Room very well appointed, had everything we needed and in the right places. Pleasant gym and lobby.

Parking for a large SUV was nearly impossible, especially as we were the last ones in. They should advise on the limitations of the parking if you elect it. Address on booking.com is incorrect. I used this address to have an item sent to the hotel but it was returned to the sender since the address was incorrect. Staff was not pleasant while trying to resolve why the item had not arrived.

A very good location for sightseeing and enjoying all of Bergen’s attractions. Its located very close to the main harbour. Beds were comfortable and the room although small was perfectly suitable for a two night stay. The staff were helpful and breakfast was exceptionally good. We would stay again.

It is slightly shabby and would benefit from a refurbishment to modernise the facilities.
